Seven years have passed since the tyrannical Holy Empire of Britannia occupied Japan. Lelouch, a prince of Britannia, was sent to Japan as a hostage and now hides his identity. When he is accidentally caught up in a fight between resistance members and Britannian forces, he meets a mysterious girl who grants him the power of mind control or “Geass” and he decides to bring down the Empire as a masked rebel.
